GGP plan posted on county web site

Howard County government has posted the details of General Growth Properties' plan for Columbia's downtown, filed Oct. 3, online here.

Hard copies are available for public review at the six Howard County Public Library branches and the County Council office (note: as of Oct. 20, the County Council office will be temporarily relocated to 8930 Stanford Boulevard during the renovation period for the George Howard Building).

The Department of Planning and Zoning will issue a report in approximately 30 days, after which the public will have 30 days to review the report and make comments. When the public review period is over, hearings will begin.

Find out more about CA's role in downtown development by reading a letter from CA President Maggie Brown from August 2008 here.
