Teens invited to enter internationally-themed art contest, Your World: What Makes You, You?
The Columbia Association (CA) International Exchange and Multicultural Programs and Columbia Art Center are co-sponsoring the 2010 Sister Cities Young Artist Competition. Columbia residents, ages 13 to 17, are invited to create an original art work illustrating their vision of this year’s Sister Cities Young Artist Competition theme, Your World: What Makes You, You? Art work should reflect how international travel and/or cultures and languages have influenced you and your community. Local winning art work will be entered into the Annual Young Artist Competition of Sister Cities International, which awards 10 winning finalists.
Accepted media include watercolor; oils; pastels; pen and ink, charcoal; photography; mixed media and collage; as well as computer-generated art. All work must be two-dimensional. Artwork must be submitted by April 15 to Columbia Art Center.
For more information or an entry form, please contact Columbia Art Center at 410-730-0075 or CA’s International Exchange and Multicultural Programs at 410-715-3162, or download an entry form from ColumbiaArtCenter.org.
