Outdoor pools open Memorial Day weekend
Columbia's 23 outdoor pools open for the season on Saturday, May 29
 Get your swimsuits out of the closet because CA’s outdoor pools open Memorial Day weekend! Our friendly, well-trained lifeguards are ready to watch over you – whether you’re in or out of the pool.
In addition to the 12 to 15 hours of recertification training that all returning lifeguards receive, new lifeguards are equipped with at least 48 hours of training in rescue techniques, CPR and first aid. Please remember that children between the ages of 8 and 12 must pass the free Safety First Test before being admitted in the pool alone.
