Local artists to be featured in gallery shows at Columbia Art Center

The Columbia Art Center will feature local artists Rhona Schonwald and Chaya Schapiro in their galleries Thursday, September 9 thru Sunday, October 10. Schonwald’s paintings, “…Not Another Still Life,” will be featured in the Main Gallery while Schapiro’s paintings, “A Sense of Place,” will be featured in the Window Gallery. A free reception will be held on Sunday, September 26 from 3 to 5pm.

As part of the Salon Series, an Artist Discussion with both artists will be held Monday, September 27 at 7:30pm at Columbia Art Center. This free monthly presentation features area artists, poets, actors, musicians and other specialists. The Salon Series is sponsored by Columbia Art Center Galleries and Little Patuxent Review.
