10th Annual Independence Day Parade Kickoff Party: Friday, July 3, at 6pm at the River Hill Village Center Courtyard. Join fellow residents in kicking off the Independence Day weekend. Local school children will read the Declaration of Independence while Dean Turner performs magic. Popcorn will be provided by the River Hill Community Association. Information: 410-531-1749.
10th Annual Independence Day Parade: Saturday, July 4, at 9:15am. Parade starts at Pointer’s Run Elementary School and continues down Great Star Drive. Music, floats, giveaways and more. A celebration of ten years of the best parade in town. Information: 410-531-1749.
Celestial Serenade: Sunday, July 12, from 6:30–9:45pm at The Other Barn in Oakland Mills. Admission: $15/ticket. Night sky, guided star gazing, wine, food, kid-friendly, beautiful classical music. Information: 410-730-4610.

Camp of the Arts: Camp dates are July 13-July 31 and August 3-August 14.LOOKING FOR A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE THIS SUMMER? Slayton House Camp of the Arts offers campers the opportunity to experience the magic of becoming a star! . Each session ends with a full stage, professional theatre production at Slayton House Theatre. Your child is the STAR. Camp dates are July 13 – July 31 and Aug 3 – Aug 14. Families with 2 or more children in the same session can take advantage of our Family discount. New this year we are accepting payments thru PayPal. Family Pool Party: Thursday, July 23, from 6:30-8:30pm at Bryant Woods pool. Join the Town Center and Wilde Lake Community Associations for some family fun as they host a pool party. Tickets are FREE and include pizza, drinks, swimming and a raffle. Advance tickets are required from Slayton House 410-730-3987 or Historic Oakland 410-730-4744 and will be available on June 15.
